TapHome Control unit (Core) can provide information about devices to other control unit or central building management system. This communication is bi-directional, therefore also devices can receive commands from external environment.

To provide high level of security, you have to enable this feature for specific devices. In Menu → Settings → Expose devices, you can define interface for connecting TapHome with 3rd party systems. Available interfaces:

    • Amazon Alexa (Enable voice control of TapHome devices via cloud connection with Amazon Alexa) https://taphome.com/support/439943169
    • Modbus RTU (over RS485 wire • Connection established via BUS1, BUS2 or BUS3 terminal on Core
    • Modbus TCP (over TCP/IP network • Connection established via LAN cable)
    • KNX (over KNX protocol • Connection established via KNX Gateway (https://taphome.com/en/knx-gateway), that is communicating with Core over TapHome Bus)
    • TapHome Integration Protocol: https://taphome.com/sk/support/171606078 (simple ASCII messages • RS485 communication via BUS 1, BUS 2 or BUS 3, or via TCP/IP connection)

In Settings → Expose devices, just add devices from your installation to the list, and those will be "exposed" to 3rd party systems in bi-directional communication.
