Android push notifications and doorbell
In order for push notifications and video doorbell ringtones to work properly on Android devices, it is necessary to change the system settings.
- Allow receiving push notifications
- Disable Android battery optimization
- Disable battery optimization from the device manufacturer. Most Android devices have additional settings that vary by model. Some are written in the documentation.
Xiaomi
Open Battery section in Security application. Disable Battery saver and Ultra battery saver.
Go to Settings. Enable Battery drain notifications.
Huawei
Go to the Battery settings. Disable Performance mode, Power saving and Ultra power saving.
Find the TapHome app and disable Manage automatically. Enable Run in background.
Samsung
Open Settings. Open Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits. Select Never Sleeping Apps. Tap (+). Find the TapHome app and then add it to the list.
