- Lighting
- 0/1V - 10V dimming
0/1V - 10V dimming
You can use 4AO module for dimming with external 3rd party LED driver / dimmer module.
0-10V
This is default option, where 0V = 0% = off, 10V = 100% = on
- Open Service settings of analog output device
- Open Device tab.
- Default setting is:
← AO Dimmer | |
Min Value | 0V |
Max. Value | 10V |
Off Value Enabled | |
Off Value | 0V |
0/1V - 10V
Some dimmers require 0V when light is turned off, and in order to start dimming, they use range of 1V - 10V.
- Open Service settings of analog output device
- Open Device tab.
- Change setting according to table below:
← AO Dimmer | |
Min. Value | 1V |
Max. Value | 10V |
Off Value Enabled | |
Off value | 0V |
Combining analog output with relay (optional)
To save energy, you might want to turn off power supply when all the lights that are powered by it are set to 0%.This will conserve more power when lights are off.
To prolong lifetime of power supply, you should use Smart Rule to turn off power supply after all lights are turned off for certain time:
- Open switch that controls Power supply
- Add Smart Rule: Equation
← Equation | |
Variables Dimmer 1 | Le = 0.20 |
Equation (Le = 0) and (Le1 = 0) and !St | |
Actions If result is TRUE, perform following actions: Power supply | Off |
If result is FALSE, perform following actions: Power supply | On |
Duration When to stop performing specified actions Minimum duration Maximum duration | True False |
