Setting the response speed of push buttons
This setting can be applied to all TapHome Push Button devices, including physical touch devices (e.g. PB5, PB6) and UI devices defined as push buttons (e.g., 32UI module).
How to configure
Select one or more push buttons:
- Service settings → Supported Click Types: The fewer options you select, the less time the algorithm will need to wait before executing the push button action. For example, if ‘Support Long Press,’ ‘Support Double Click,’ and ‘Support Tripple Click’ are all disabled, the push button action will be triggered as soon as the button is pressed, without waiting for it to be released.
- Service settings → Longpress duration / Click speed. Adjust the duration required for longpress or double or tripple clicks.
Bus response speed
To speed up the response of the buttons, it is necessary to keep the number of modules on a given branch of the bus small enough, since the TapHome Bus communication protocol is non-collision (Round-Robin type). We recommend less than 20 modules. If necessary, use the Bus Extender device to expand the number of TapHome Bus branches.
