TapHome

Script version requirements

Which TapHome Core build each script function and feature needs, in the Official and Next channels, and what the Available notes on function entries mean.

A script function works only on a TapHome Core that knows it, and the script editor in the app must know it too. On an older Core a newer function is a parse error: X function not supported. Please update your core unit to be able to use this feature.

Builds and release channels

TapHome is released in two channels, Official and Next; new features reach Next first. A version is written as year.release.build, so 2026.1.40599 is Core 2026.1, build 40599. The tables give the first build of each channel known to contain a feature, so they are lower bounds. Anything older than about 2020.2 works on every supported Core.

Requirements by function

Both the Core and the app need at least the listed build. A dash means that the feature is not in an Official release yet.

Functions without a requirement

IF, SWITCH, RETURN, SLEEP, ROUND, LINEAR, MODBUSR, MODBUSW, MODBUSWNE and the eight sorting functions work on every supported Core.

Changes in Core 2026.1

  • The block Modbus functions were released in Core 2026.1, build 39001; the app needs build 39016 or newer.
  • From Core 2026.1, build 40661, the bit functions follow the width of the value’s type. Older builds treat every value as 32 bits: a 64-bit value loses its upper half, and a bit above an 8- or 16-bit type reads as 0.
  • Before Core 2026.1, build 40661, MODBUSW and MODBUSWNE ignored ByteSwap for Int32 and UInt32.
